Chances at
1) Univ of Maryland CP ** First choice
2) UMBC
3) johns hopkins
4) george washington university

1.) good chance - aka "match"
2.) no idea, never heard of, sorry
3.) you dont need to send sat's, but still a reach...
4.) good chance

^^^^^^^^^^that is, assuming you are taking at least 18 creds this semester to offset the low cred first semester, and keeping your grades the way they are...

i also have a W on my transcript from first semester.. i had 12 credits dropped down from 15.. will this impact me any?

if you can make up for it, like i said, then it wont be much of a problem...

you should be fine. I am OOS and transfered to UM-CP with a lower college GPA and lower SAT scores than you

College Park is an ease for most MD residents with GPAs above the 3.2 mark. GWU, I think you have a shot, but they're getting pretty selective every year. JHU is...well, it's an "elite" school, so they're going to be a reach.

I would definitely leave off the SATs for Hopkins. Otherwise, it will depend on your essays, reason for transfer, recs - ie, the whole picture. But your college GPA looks nice and the Withdraw might not be a big problem - depends on how the subject relates to your major, maybe. IDK whether 18 credits this term is doable, but I would certainly want you to have 15 at minimum.

18 credits are ok bc two of my classes i have same prof and theyre guaranteed A's. The other 4 arent bad. Ive only gotten one grade less than an A this semester (a B+ in American Studies, go figure). I think I'm doing better this semester than last semester when I had 12. I'm more motivated and manage time better w/ more classes.
