Here's my story:

Accepted into UTD for Fall 08 semester. Dropped out mid semester without withdrawing from classes because I was asked to fill-in and go on tour with a nationally-recognized band in the modern rock scene (played bass). Since I carelessly dropped out without withdrawing, my GPA at the end of the semester was a 1.0. Four months in, they found a permanent replacement and I knew it was best to go back to school and start raising my GPA for Osteopathic Medical School. I took 2 semesters (27 hours) at CCCCD to get my bearing (GPA:3.44) and then went back to UTD to do grade replacements for my F's that I had made. The last 2 semesters I have raised my UTD GPA from a 1.0 to a 3.78.

EC's include:

I understand that UT admissions take the average of the two courses for grade replacements, but I also know that they have a holistic approach towards viewing your application. Good luck to all who plan on transferring as well.
