-Strong Letters of Recommendation

-Solid Personal Statement

-looking at schools such as:
University of Washington,
University of Oregon,
Northeastern University,
Temple University,
Vanderbilt University (dream),
University of Notre Dame (dream),
Boston University,
DePaul University,
George Washington University.

are these schools out of the question?
or worth a shot?

any helpful hints and tips for applying,
or recommendations for big universities with solid academics, lots of pride/spirit (preferably east coast)?

thanks so much, i do appreciate all the help.

Mostly, you have a good shot. However, as you already know, Notre Dame and Vanderbilt are reaches. BU and GWU are not reaches, but they might be a little harder to get in to. Other than that, you should get into the other schools with no problem, maybe a wait list here or there.

At this point, there is not much else you can do. Just make sure you end the semester on a strong note in case one of the schools wait lists you. It is important that you will be able to send them strong 2nd semester grades to convince them that you have fully adjusted to the academic demands of college.

thanks so much conncoll, I truly appreciate the response.

does anyone else have any thoughts or opinions?
