I’m currently a freshman at the University of Iowa, and I plan to apply for a transfer to Ohio State for Fall 2011. I currently have a 3.07 GPA, and 14 semester hours. By the end of my second semester in May, which is when I plan to apply, I will have 30 semester hours, and most likely around the same GPA.

How good are my chances of getting in?

Also, I may decide to apply before the second semester is complete, but since I will have less than 30 SH of credit, I will have to submit my high school GPA and SAT scores, which aren’t very good. I have:

-About a 2.8-2.9 HS GPA
-A 1900 on the SAT (converts to a score of about 29 on the ACT).

Would I have a chance of being accepted if I submit both my college and HS credentials? Should I wait until my second semester grades are complete, or should I apply now? I’d really appreciate any feedback.
