Transfer Chances

Hey everyone! I'm applying as a transfer for Fall 2013 and I was hoping CC would tell me what my chances are.

I've already attended two colleges so far because I realized very late in the year that I wanted to transfer (my previous college didn't have the major I wanted). I transferred from Manhattan College (Riverdale, NY) to a VERY small commuter school close to home. I'm basically using the school I'm at right now as a placeholder 'til I go somewhere else, lol.

High school GPA: 3.65/ 91.69. Took mostly Honors and AP classes.
SAT: 1820
Fall 2012 semester GPA: 3.94
Cumulative GPA: 3.1ish (my freshman year grades weren't too great :/)
Activities:VP of HS Art Honor Society, HS English Honor Society, HS Spanish Honor Society, College Fashion Club
300+ community service hours
3 current part-time jobs: working in a local government office, retail store, and a law office

I want to know what my chances are for:
Northeastern University
SUNY Oneonta
Baruch College

Northeastern's my first choice and I have a professor with connections to the school writing a letter on my behalf.. The other two I plan on having another professor write a letter to. If I write a killer transfer essay, do I have a good chance?

You have a very good chance. In fact, for all three. Congrats these are very good grades

Thank you!!

As an alumnus of Oneonta, I definitely think you’re a shoe-in for getting admitted there. You could have gotten accepted there out of high school with your grades and SAT score. Most people I know who transferred into Oneonta after a 2-year school had a GPA slightly above a 3.0. You have that and extracurriculars so I would safe its a safe bet.
