Schools:
Michigan (Ross, 1st choice)
Texas (McCombs)
North Carolina (Kenan-Flagler)
Virginia (McIntire)
USC (Marshall)

I've taken Virginia and USC off my list.

So it's just Michigan, Texas, and North Carolina.

What are my chances at these schools? I would be applying directly to Ross, to UNC's general school, and i'd try for McCombs, but I think i'd be wise to go for other majors as well (I think their transfer acceptance rate is like 8% for external transfers into McCombs).

Well, the good news/bad news is it looks like you have to wait another year for Michigan and Virginia, but not Texas--I also checked UNC, and USC. For USC you can apply there, but for UNC you have to wait another year.

You can't apply for Michigan (Ross) until you have at least 27 units completed (in process doesn't count)--and you can only apply in the January through March timeframe, so you have to wait until at least 2008 to apply there. Then it takes three more years to get through the program.

Virginia doesn't take applications for their business school until during your sophomore year. It only takes two years to finish their business school.

It appears that you can apply to Texas. Here is the website:
http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/transfer/admission/majors/business/index.html

It appears you can apply to USC and get in directly even as a freshman. Here is the site:

http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/admission/transfer/apply/
The deadline is on October 16th, though, so you have to act fast if you want to transfer there.

UNC states on their website that you have to be a sophomore to apply as a transfer--so you have to wait another year there also. Generally, it takes a 3.5 GPA to get in from out a four-year out of state school, since the spots go first to current North Carolina students and only then to transfers. This is probably a lot easier than Michigan or Virginia, however, since it appears you need a 3.8 UW GPA at Michigan and a 3.7 at Michigan to have any chance. Also, this is a two-year program, the same as at Virginia.

Here is the site for UNC:

http://www.kenan-flagler.unc.edu/Programs/BSBA/Admissions/index.cfm

Hmmmm.... I would be transferring to UNC to their general school first, and then apply for their B-School after i'm there. "Juniors planning to major in business administration must enroll in the College of Arts and Sciences and complete at least one semester before applying for admission to those degree programs." Also on their website, they say that residency isn't considered for transfer admission, unlike freshman admission. Would I still need around a 3.5 for UNC then?

Michigan's program is a 3 year BBA now, so I don't know why I would have to wait another year. Where did you get the 27 credit hours having to be completed prior to applying? The BBA Bulletin says "Students enter the three-year BBA Program with a minimum of 27 (maximum of 45) transferable credit hours. These 27 credits must be earned while attending an accredited college or University and does not include test or AP credits."

Thanks for the information though, nice to have a reply for once.
