Hello. I’m currently a freshman at a california community college. I have received a 4.0 GPA thus far completing 20 semester units, and I plan to continue receiving straight As until I complete my Sophomore Spring Semester Term. However, During High School, I really messed up, receiving a 2.2 GPA both semesters during my Senior year. But I received a 3.5 GPA both semesters during junior year and a 3.0 average during my Sophomore year. I also did poorly on the SATs, receiving a 1650 on the SAT I and a 650-SATII Language and 500 on Math II. I have decent ECs and will have good teacher recs. Should I get straight As for two years at my junior college, do you guys think I have a legitimate shot at Wharton? I would appreciate any honest inputs, because I very much need a reality check. If Wharton is too far of a reach, then I need to start considering applying to another college that’s less harder to get into this year. Thanks so much.

honestly, and i'm not trying to be mean or harsh, but you really don't have a chance. and let's say you still do pull a 4.0, people from schools like cornell, georgetown, michigan are all pulling 3.7+.

also, even though you'd apply as a junior transfer, your hs records will still be a factor.

There is not much you can lose by applying. Though if you are looking for a transfer, I think you might want to apply to other schools also if you want to be realistic.

ahh ic. Thanks for both of your guys' inputs.
