Hey all you Cal Bears. I realize that this question should be on the UCSB forum, but nobody writes on or reads those forums and you guys are the best in the UC system so I figured you might be able to help me out. I am a freshman (Class of 2011) at Boston College but I am from San Francisco. I applied to UCSB last year and got in but turned it down for BC. As of right now, I am really not enjoying myself at Boston College and think maybe I should transfer to UCSB. Also, no matter what, I know I want to live and work in San Francisco when I am older (if that matters). My question to you guys is the following: 1. Because I already got into UCSB originally and I am from San Francisco, would I have a good shot at getting into UCSB? 2. Would this be a smart decision coming from Boston College? 3. Would UCSB have better job placement in San Francisco than Boston College? 4. Do you think academically they are the same or is one more difficult than the other? Your help regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated guys. I know you're from Cal, but maybe you could give some input. Thanks a lot.
