Transfer chances!

I applied for Freshman entry in '07 and, unfortunately, was not admitted (deferred, wait-listed, then rejected!). After two semesters at Eastern Michigan University as well as a couple summer classes, I decided to send in an application to transfer into LSA Winter '09. I think I stand a relatively decent chance of acceptance, but I'd like to see your opinions:

H.S. GPA - 3.8
ACT - 32

College GPA - 3.94
Honors College
Regents Scholarship
Dean's List
Copy Editor of Lit. journal, Freshman Orientation Leader, GSA

I had 41 credits at the time of application and will have 56 after this semester is over.

I'm in-state, but because I'm not a citizen, Michigan had me send off a separate residency classification application (which they should have received by now) which means that until it's been approved I'm classified as a "non-resident." This may or may not hurt my chances, but I'm assuming they'll hold off on a final decision until they've received the residency app.

So my hs grades are not even close to yours - 3.0gpa/27 act - but lots of Varsity sports (3 4yr, 1 - 1yr 2 captains ) and volunteer work 200+ hrs. I am also applying to LSA as a winter applicant and they told me with a 3.89 college gpa - 36 credits - 2 Sga positions and campus leader of One - that i have a strong application. Funny thing though - i have lived in Mi nearly my entire life - born in VA but moved here 6 months after - well i was out of state last year - small liberal arts school but now i am at WMU in kzoo and they made me fill out that form as well. On source told me that it will not affect my decision (residency office) but then a student in the OoA told me that it would - idk, i dont think it will. but idk

I like both your chances. 3.9 GPA in college is impresive.

My niece had a 3.85 and on the deans list of her college at Mich. State. After her sophomore year she applied to LSA. This was the second time she applied. She also applied after her freshman year. She was not admitted again. If you don't get accepted judas, I don't know what you have to do to transfer into Michigan. LSA is very tight i suppose.
