Transfer- chances

Hi, I’m applying as a sophomore transfer to AU and I was wondering if some one could give me a heads up on my chances of getting accepted?
I’m currently at the University of Rhode Island
I only took 4 classes in the fall 09 semester but my gpa was a 3.6
My sat scores and high school transcript is ok, but not great, I took advanced and some AP courses but I did much better in college.
I applied as a international relations major
My dad is an alumni.

I was always wondering about chances with financial aid? I would really need a great package in order to attend.
Also about how long does it take to hear back about acceptance, all my stuff got in about 3 days ago.

I just got my acceptance letter from School of Public Affairs at AU (sophomore transfer). Waiting for my top 2 though (GWU and Vandy) followed by UNC-CH, BC, and Gtown

Here are my stats:
HS GPA: low 3 (3.0-3.2) NE Boarding School
SAT: 1240/1840
Bunch of ECs (Student Government, Varsity Athlete, Editor Newspaper, Community Service)
AP Scholar

College:
Sewanee: University of the South
GPA: 3.41 (first semester)
Varsity Baseball (D3)
Middle School Tutor
