so I realize that it is a very good idea to contact the transfer admissions counselor at the school you wish to transfer to. But what topics should you contact them about? should you just send a simple email introducing yourself, or can you ask your chances and list your credentials, or what?

Do you think that transfer admissions counselor would also be reviewing applications??

If not and you don't have any questions on the transfer process, then I think there is no point in contacting them.

Asking the counselor on your chances is a waste of time IMO. They would most likely cite what can be already found on collegeboard or their website on admissions credentials.
