Are the grades earned through transfer credit figured into your Michigan GPA? I have looked high and low and can't find the answer on the Michigan website, although it seems to imply the answer is "no." However, I would very much appreciate some clarification on this. Thanks!!!!

Even on wolverine access, it's pretty confusing, since they keep track of three different sets of things, and you only get what the acronym for each thing is at the column head. This isn't for sure, just as far as I can tell. First one is total credits, which includes U of M classes, transfer classes, and AP credit. Second one is CTP (I think credit towards program?), which keeps track of U of M classes and transfer credit. Last one is MSP (michigan specific p-somethingorother???), and it keep tracks of weighted credits (ie, # of credits * grade in class/4.0), and I believe it only keeps track of classes at U of M, and I'm pretty sure this is what accounts for your Umich GPA.
