I was wondering if Harvard takes transfer credits from community colleges. Specifically, does it take credits from the Seattle Community College? I'm trying to do a study abroad program that is sponsored by seattle cc but the scholarship that is funding this wants to make sure I get credit for it from Harvard as well. I can't find anything about Harvard accepting credits from cc's

Well, if you applied as a freshman, they don't take any previous credit whatsoever. The only exception is advanced standing for AP exams, but even that is weird. Then with transfer applications being closed for the next while, it looks like a no.

well, I already got in. I'm just doing the cc program on the side because that's the only I can get college credit for my trip. You're saying that harvard won't even consider that as summer credit?

Hamman - Harvard doesn't give any sort of credit to non-transfer students, with the exception of Harvard-approved study abroad programs and Harvard Summer School. There may be an exception or two to this rule, but none that I'm aware of.

don't forget MIT classes!
