I am going to be a senior next year and i was wondering, if i have exhausted all the math courses in my school, and were to take the next one at the local second tier college, would these be transferable to an ivy league such as columbia?

Credits will not transfer, but you'd have a good chance of getting placed into a higher math. What are you going to take -- Calc III?

actually calc II.

if the credit doesnt transfer would columbia still let me take a higher level math if i got in?

also is it worth it? or should i just wait till i get into the college of my choice and take it there. That would mean no math in my senior year at all

If you got an A in Calc II at a college, you might be able to place into Calc III if you want, or at worst you'll be ahead of the game if you have to retake Calc II. i think not taking any math your senior year might hurt you if you're a math-sci guy, and it will look good if you're proactive and went to a college to expand your possibilities. It depends what else you take instead of the math -- are you taking both AP Phys C and AP Chem this yr to make up for it, or are you taking basketweaving?

well ill be taking ap physics. chem was last year. but statistics is another possibility other than calc. it is offered at my school
