So i applied to Columbia College Chicago in late February and the website said that once all my materials were in i'd receive a decision in three to four weeks. It's been roughly seven to eight weeks and i haven't gotten anything except some ads for their events in the mail. I completed the application online and have a receipt that shows i submitted a transfer application on February 23rd, and a confirmation that my recommendations were in the 28th. I called the Admissions office and they said they'd received my information and my transcript from my previous school. Since it seems unlikely they lost my application, does anyone know what the holdup could be?

No idea waht the holdup is but I would be contacting the transfer admissions advisor by email or telephone. Email addresses are usually available on the web and most universities identify the transfer admissions advisor by name. There is no substitute for communication.
