I hear that they only release decisions after 4, and I'm in the middle of a class at 4 on Thursday, so I'm thinking I'll be a wreck all through clas that day. I'm so nervous!

<p>yeah, im not going to read too much into all of this. I was not in the directory till last night, and now im not in it again! i dont really see why they would put all of this stuff up BEFORE sending out the decissions, especially if it actually meant an acceptance. I dont think they are going to tell anyone (even if it is through little things like icons, directories, etc) before they tell EVERYONE. </p>

What do you mean "probably housing." Are you inferring that because everyone gets a PID, everyone probably gets a housing icon too?</p>

<p>these are the stats of people who transferred in 2005...in case anyone wants to see! It looks pretty darn competitive, near perfect gpa's or awesome SAT scores to make up for it!!!</p>

<p>cellardoor you have to take into consideration that the people who post in this forum represent the minority of those accepted. i mean think about it, people who care enough to post their stats and spend a lot of time on a college discussion forum are probably apt to have better grades/sat scores than the majority of the transfers accpeted. the woman i talked to at admissions said a 3.3 was competitive for a sophomore transfer, i am focusing on that because that's much more reassuring than those stats, haha...</p>

<p>hey guys, just wondering if anyone checked the course equivalency page to possibly see if their transferred courses were shown under the school they came from...maybe if u were accepted, and they transferred ur schedule over, it will show under ur current colleges equivalencies</p>

<p>ARClax...under the course equivalencies it just lists ALL the classes from my school (appalachian state) and what the equivalent is in ALL the classes at UNC. it doesn't just have my specific classes....</p>
<p>well i thinkhe was saying that in some cases there is a course that no one has ever transfered to unc with before from your school; so if you are taking it and get in it might pop up....i dont however think this is true...</p>

<p>if only there was a way to know...they are really tight about it though...like i know the assistant dean of admissions, and still, no idea...unc is such a democratic place...</p>
<p>yeah thats not true about the course thing, I spoke with someone in admissions and if you provide a syllabus for any class you took UNC will consider transferring that course over as there are a lot of courses they dont list that I am fairly confident could be transferred.</p>

<p>yeah i am pretty sure I am not going to get accepted mainly because my school screwed me over by requiring I take an english seminar class that will not transfer anywhere so I wont have any transferable english credit therefore not being sophomore status. I cannot create an onyen and I do not see the housing icon so I think if you can access those you are probably in...</p>
<p>i was able to create an onyen account too...is this a good sign? what do you guys think?</p>
