Transfers are housed in clusters on West/Collegetown and North Campus. Transfers do not have their own dorm and they are no longer housed in Hasbrouck.

I transferred a semester ago and got here Fall 08.

There is no one place for transfers. The earlier you submit your housing forms, the better odds you get better housing.

A vast majority were placed in the townhouses in Fall.

The early birds got West Campus.

That's about it. And dewdrop is right.

Do you know which dorms GTs are usually assigned to? I wish we could put in our housing forms now...

Once your GT is finalized and you're accepted...you're just like any other transfer...no special privileges. You'll likely be one of the first to get a decision if you submitted your application early....so if that's the case, you'll be able to fill out your housing request sooner and have a (possibly) better shot of getting a dorm on West.

^^^^So I should definitely shoot for something on West Campus? (As in, that's the best out of all the other options?) I'd imagine I was probably one of the first to submit...I sent everything the first week of February

west has sophomores, juniors, and seniors living there, so you'd be with your academic peers.

nothing against freshmen. it could be useful for study groups and socializing, though.
