Transfer: Dropping AP Scores from transcript?

Hi, I am currently attending a state college, and I am thinking about transferring to UCLA.
Though I am a first year student, my class standing is sophomore because of AP credits.
However, I am slightly worried that UCLA only accepts junior transfer admissions, and I feel like I am not yet quite ready to apply for transfer.

So, Is there anyway that I can drop AP credits that I have already acquired at my current college? I did not really ask my counselor about this question, because I did not want to reveal that I am considering transfer even before the first semester ends. I really appreciate for your helps!

You should be more concerned about the maximum unit cap. Fortunately AP credits don’t count toward that.

Thank you for your comment! So, when I count my credits toward the max. cap, do I simply disregard credits received through AP examinations? Once again, I appreciate for your help!

It doesn’t say whether this applies just to entering freshman or also to transfer students, so you might want to check with UCLA admissions.

Just exclude the AP credits when you count up your units. This is for admission eligibility and restrictions; individual UCs have different policies regarding how subject credit is granted for AP credits.
