how do transfer students feel about their experience at WashU. I just recieved my acceptance letter and am trying to decide what I'm going to do... I'm not loving my current school, and I almost chose WashU over it last year, but I am at a great unversity and trying to way the costs/benefits...
do you feel there's a community?
dopeople get lost in the crowd?
is it very intense?
does campus feel diverse or sort of ... culturally whitewashed (sorry but I'm from the east coast and have had all those preconceptions about the midwest being kind of bland indoctrinated into my mind)

I absolutely love it here as a transfer student. And it would be best to get the Midwestern bland from your mind :) This city and the university are incredibly diverse. I never feel lost in the crowd. People here are so friendly and ready to help (students and administrators). Occasionally I have an intense week (like this week for example), but usually the workload is very manageable. If you have other questions about my experience, feel free to PM me!

Why do you want to transfer out of Yale?
