If a student is admitted to the business school as a transfer student and is in junior status…when should the student expect any sort of internship offers , or what must be done? Do they just come to you?

Say the students preferred major in accounting.

Does anyone know if OOS students are at a disadvantage when applying for transfer admissions. I just finished my AA from a California Community College and I’m applying to Rutgers as my backup since I didn’t apply to any “safety” state universities before the deadlines. I only applied to the University of California i.g. UCLA, San Diego, and Berkeley. We have two systems: 1)the University of California- where I applied and where almost all those schools fall into the top 50 ranked schools by USNWR, then there is the 2) the California State University System, which is where the majority of residents go and is looked at with the same prestige as most second tier state universities.

I have 70+ units with a 3.8 gpa at my CC and had a significant upward trend in hs. I’m a URM, have good E.Cs, internships in the field (dual major in pol sci and art history), and have strong Rec’s from my Dean.

Honestly, I’m primarly looking at Rutgers because it’s one of the only schools I can afford and because I can picture myself there. I’ve filled out the application but haven’t paid the app fee yet. Wondering if it’s worth the cost since I’ve already spent several hundred dollars applying to California schools and I only need one safety, either Rutgers, Penn State, or UCONN. If OOS students are at a disadvantage, then I’ll just apply to Penn State where my chances are better. Any insight would be much appreicated.
