@sunshinetransfer Submit another request for an application status report a day after your waitlist notice. The second one should list the documents needed.

@samthesham I’ve been in a similar situation… after submitting all my paperwork, transcripts. etc… I realized I had an old transcript that I had (honestly) totally forgotten about. It damaged my GPA a little, and I knew it probably made me look like a bit of a flake when I had to submit it, after submitting an otherwise somewhat-impressive app. I think I served myself well in submitting the derogatory info as soon as possible… they got back to me immediately and thanked me for the forthrightness. That’s a lot better than having an admission rescinded!!! Long story short: call them as soon as possible, they’ll most likely be more impressed by your efforts to be transparent than if it happens to just “pop up” as they’re confirming your admission.

@WossaMatadorU Thank you for the advice. I did contact via e-mail and phone. I got a reply through both avenues and they thanked me for bringing this error to there attention. Both ladies warned me that, based on space availability in electrical engineering, my admission offer might be rescinded in light of my new lower GPA.

I am obviously not a star student and I think 3.23 is below the average gpa for transfers into engineering at CSULB.I am guessing. Does anyone know how to get stats on average GPAs of admitted transfers by major at CSULB?

I saw a sociology major get accepted with a 3.2 and a biomedical and clinical engineering major( a specialized electrical engineering major) get accepted with a 2.5. Maybe he was a local student? I am hopeful.

Also last question. Will the fact that I am a native hawaiian/pacific islander influence the schools decision. I know that affirmative action has been done away with in the CSU system but race must have some effect on admission especially if I am a minority like Native Hawaiian. I checked the racial profile of the engineering department and I would be the only nativehawaiian/pacificislander in the engineering department for all 4 years. Thanks

I was offered admission as of today
3.7 gpa, transfer student, Anthropology major from out in the boonies of Central California, first university to get back to me with their decision.

Congratulations, @jjukebox12!

I just got accepted today! :)

Major: English
3.58 GPA
I’m from LA county

First CSU I’ve heard from, but some of my friends got their letters from San Jose already

@tarekitani in the letter it says that you have to send documents (transcripts, etc) within 30 days of getting the email notification

you can deliver transcripts in person. Thats what i did

Son got rejection from CSULB this past week. GPA 3.38 majoring in Criminal Justice as a junior transfer. Bummed

Hey guys! I was accepted 2/13 as a transfer for fashion merchandising. Super excited! Congrats to everyone else!

This question is for anyone who has sent in there transcripts: Has CSULB confirmed receiving anyones transcripts via MyCSULB yet? I sent mine in last week monday and MyCSULB has yet to update saying that my transcript has been received. Thanks.

mine has yet to update as well… once they received it , they might need to confirm your qualification… I think it’s gonna be updated before march

Just check status again, it shows, they received my transcript ! XD

I got waitlisted too, as a Political Science major. I wonder how many other Poli-Sci majors were accepted? I really hope I get in, it was the only school I applied to

I applied for Civil Engineering. Didn’t get accepted. Have a 3.18 not from area, haven’t finished major prep. If you haven’t heard anything that’s probably good.

I got accepted for Civil Engineering. GPA: 3.37

Accepted on February 10

Major: Finance
GPA: 3.69
Location: California, not in service area
AS-T, CSU GE, IGETC, and all major prep completed by Spring 2014.

Waiting to hear back from SDSU…

Hello,
I was constantly checking my status to see if they received and then verified my transcripts.
Which they did.

My status went from: “intent to enroll received and requested documents subject to confirmation”.

To: “intent to enroll received”
Also included was a new item on my to do list which ask me to send my final transcripts by 7/15/2014

Does this mean that my transcripts have been verified and I just need to pass my “in progress” class this spring to ensure my admission (proof being on my final transcripts)? Or are they still verifying my GPA?

I am asking all this because I submitted a higher GPA on my supp app then which was my actual GPA. I told them I had a 3.58 but (upon later discovery) is was a 3.23. So I am just wandering if they excused my discrepancy and granted me admission as long as I passed my spring class. Thanks.

I got waitlisted for CSULB… My major is Business Admin and I had a 3.06 gpa. I am a little bummed but I have five other universities to hear back from so I am not extremely worried yet. This would be nice if I get off the waitlist though.

if I am on the waitlist, can I make an account on myCSULB?

This is a nice piece of pdf that shows that they admitted over 1,800 students spring 2014compared with only 220 the spring 2013. I wonder if this trend/policy into the fall 2014.
