I realize that my subject is pretty broad, but any sort of guidance I could receive would be greatly appreciated. I am currently a resident of West Virginia and am attending the state university as a freshman journalism major. I've decided that after my sophomore year, I'd like to transfer to the University of Maryland.
I currently have a 4.0 GPA, and had standardized test scores of 31 and 1320(I'm not asking whether this will be good enough to transfer, but am rather putting them up to see at all if these would factor into financial aid).
Now, it would cost about $25,000 annually to attend the school, as I would have to pay out-of-state tuition. I'm wondering what sort of aid (if any) I could expect to receive from the school. Do state schools typically have any measures to aid interstate transfers, or would I just be relying on hefty loans?
Thanks for any answers you might be able to give.
