Stats: 4.0 college GPA, 1490 SAT, Freshman by year - sophomore by hour
Classes next semester: Honors Research, Calc 2, Calc based Physics 1, English 2, Physics lab
Legacy at WashU and Cornell.
Atmospheric science at Cornell and CS at WashU and USC
Essays are decent.
If you want to transfer have this in mind: 8 credits calculus with analytic geometry and 8 credits calculus-based physics are required. (Atmospheric Science requirement)
These were the transfer requirements at Penn State. Unfortunately, I didn’t get into Penn State. I only had calculus 1 done. It’s sad and but I moved on. Atmospheric Science at Cornell is very strong. They have a small department and when I wanted to apply it was the same requirements as Penn State. How are you in math? Atmospheric Science is very heavy in Math and Physics. Another thing I loved about Cornell is the faculty and how small the classes were. I regret not applying there. I’m not very familiar with computer science. Message me if you want more details about Atmospheric science. My major is Biology with Chemistry and Math minor. Hoping to go to grad school for Meteorology.
@NASA2014 I am very strong in math 790 SAT math. Will have Calc 3 done by the end of summer. I also have a legacy. Idk if that helps in transfer. I got into PSU as a freshman applicant.
Bump…
Anyone?
You have a solid shot at all of these schools; I’m not familiar with Atmospheric Science as a major, but have you looked at any other institutions which offer this major?
To echo @NASA2014’s post, make sure you thoroughly read and complete the prerequisites required for the schools you end up applying to.
I concur with @TransferStalker. I think you have a good shot at all of those schools!
