My son is looking to transfer to an LAC in Fall 2015. He wants a strong history and theater dept., no Greek life, a non-partier type school (reason he wants to leave the small, remote New England LAC where he is currently). He's a good student (got all As and Bs in high school, and I think will have A's and B's this semester from his college). His SATs were 720 (English), 730 (Writing) and 630 (Math). He's passionate about technical theater and all kinds of history. So far, he has Lewis and Clark (OR) and Vassar (NY) on his list. He looked at Wesleyan last year, but he thought it was a little too liberal for him. Any other suggestions? Distance doesn't seem to matter to him. From the looks of the Common Data Sets on colleges, it seems like transferring will be more difficult than applying as a freshman.
