Hello,

I’ve just received an information form uConn that I have been accepted to Hartford Campus / ACES Exp . However, my 1st choice was Storrs ACES Exp. and I would rather go there mainly because of living on campus opportunity. I’m on a different situation, I was living in Poland 18 years, I have finished all the school there as well as high school. Because I’m a green card holder I had opportunity to study here. I came on may 2012, started Tunix Community Collage and made an decision to transfer to uConn. I took SAT and TOEFL exams, translated all my diplomas form High School and wrote essay.

My SAT –
1st 1330 (410 reading , 520 math, 400 writing)
2nd 1680 (570 reading, 640 math, 470 writing)

TOEFL – 80

Grades after 1 semester at Tunxis CC / my major is Finance
A – Principles of Finance
A – Into to software
A – Intermediate Algebra
C – integrated Rdg/wrt II ( I should be on ESL but no one told me that and no one care)
C – Design Principles

Now I’m taking 6 classes what makes 19 credits

I do not know how to tell about my grades form high school but they were pretty good. I had math-physics-IT extended so it was much harder.

Now I’m lost what to do, I found information that I should write letter of appeal, however, I contacted undergraduate admission office and they informed me that it is non-sense because I’m a transfer student not a freshman. What do you think, do I still have any chances to get to Storrs campus? Should I write a letter of appeal? Any ideas what to do? Maybe I requires too much? :(
