So, I am now attending a liberal arts college in central Minnesota. I'm going to be a sophomore this fall.

I started to think about transferring after the first semester. CSB/SJU, granted, is not terrible at all. It has great professors, academic atmospheres and facilities. It's just I realized what I thought I'd want from a college was not really my true enthusiasm. I used to think I'd love a small town, or even rural setting with 4,000 students; however, I was yearning for a different life when my mom told me how she spent the weekend going to karaoke and watching fireworks with her friends. I used to think I'd love the whole idea of community and bonding with one another. Well I still do, but not so much when the school has pushed it so far beyond the line that the students do not have dreams any more.

Sorry I got a bit emotional up there... anyways, I'm looking to transfer out of it.

I'm an Environmental Studies and Accounting double major. I have an accumulative GPA of 3.85. Well it was 4.0 the first semester, and then I made my First Year Seminar prof mad the second semester and got a B on that. And there was an AB on my half-credit French class. I was elected Club Auditor on the Senate by the student body. I volunteered throughout the year. Oh, and I'm an international student from China. My SAT was 2030. Math 710, Writing 740, and Reading 580. Yeah I know it looks quite terrible. And I would need some financial aids (which would definitely make the transfer harder :(

I've read some posts says Northwestern is pretty transfer friendly. But given what I got, I don't think I'd stand a chance. I was just wondering if there's any "good" school that I would possibly be considered.

Thank you very much for reading my long, tedious post. And I'd greatly appreciate any advice. =)
