I am currently a sophomore at Florida State in their honors program and due to family issues I'd really like to transfer into the University of Florida to be closer to home. I am a biology major and will have all of my prerequisites complete and 79 credit hours by the end of this spring semester. I have my foreign language requirement and so far have been able to maintain a 4.0 gpa throughout Organic, Bio, and others. I'm wondering what sort of odds I've got. To me, my grades look pretty good but Florida has become more and more difficult to get into.
What sort of odds do you think I have?
Is applying for summer a better bet?
And lastly if i do apply to transfer and I get accepted, do I have a choice to turn it down if something were to change and stay enrolled at FSU?
Thank you guys so much, I really appreciate all of your help. Eric

You’ll have no problem getting in. UF is very easy to transfer into. Just check to see if they take transfers in your program from four-year universities, I’m sure they do.
