Hey there,

I am currently a freshman scholar at NYU-Stern school of business, and I have had a great time in terms of academic and social experiences: I like my classes, and I like the city life even more.

However, I began to regret the fact that I have narrowed down my career option only to heavily business related fields. Another thing that bothers me is that Stern is a business school primarily known for its stellar finance department, which I have no interest in majoring.

So I would like to try to transfer this year to Brown, possibly to major in either COE or psychology. Is there any transfer student (or anyone who knows well about the process) who can offer me an advice? I will probably have 3.7 GPA by the end of the semester.

Also:
- how competitive is transfer admission to brown?
- is the student body cliquish by ethnicity etc? (I feel a lot of that in NYU)
- is it possible to double major (concentration) at brown?

Thanks a lot for comments!
