If a student gets accepted to the Arts and Sciences program, and then decides that she would prefer to be in Business instead -- or the other way around -- is it possible to transfer? Is the transfer automatically granted? How is it done? Thanks.

Lehigh’s Academic Resource Guide from the Office of Student Conduct

Curriculum Transfer

“Students who wish to transfer from one undergraduate college to another may do so if they have achieved sophomore status and are not on academic probation. Those students in good academic standing may transfer from one college to another at registration if approved by the appropriate dean of the college. After conferring with the associate dean in the new college about requirements and opportunities, the student must complete all forms for transfer no later than three weeks prior to registration for the semester in which they wish to make the transfer.”

Another option is to get a minor. Lehigh has many programs for minors for students in any college. It is really a very productive way to use your electives. My son was an engineering major. He did stay on campus sophomore summer to take classes and do research with a professor. He was able to get an engineering degree and two minors.
