Transfer from Penn State to UT Austin, Petroleum E. Is it worth it? HELP PLZ!!

I am an international student in Penn State, major - Petroleum Engineering, accepted as a transfer student to UT Austin, SHOULD I TRANSFER??? I really don't know, my GPA is 3.97, and i will lose it in case I go to UT, but UT is more prestigious...
also i have a job on campus as math tutor, and have a lot of ECs here, and i really enjoy all that, and money from my job really help me out sometimes, but Penn State is in a middle of nowhere, even though NYC, Philly, Washington and Boston are really close, and I am gonna miss these places!!
If i transfer
disadvantages: lose my 3.97 gpa, lose math tutor job and therefore, an income, gonna miss my friends and my favorite cities!!
advantages: UT Austin more prestigious and have better alum base, better chance to be accepted by big oil companies (that's true according to all my friends graduated from UT and friends from Penn State) and moreover exxonmobil ceo graduated from UT Austin!, also campus and weather are nicer

i really need some advice!!

THanks!!))

I think you already know what you want to do. Your reasons for staying are pretty weak. Other than a closer proximity to NYC all your disadvantages can be restored at UT if you continue to do well.

arman1903, here is a silly question for you. Why do you want to pursue petroleum engineering? Do you think there will be enough fossil fuel left in 20 years to engineer with?

Yes of course there will, asking that is a silly question. You should transfer as you would have many more job opportunities at graduation.

So, you’re transferring coz u’ll have gr8r job opps there…
