transfer hopefuly - some questions

so basically im applying for transfer, since the deadline is june1, i'll be able to get my 2nd semester grades in
my gpa was 3.43 being that 2 of them were B+ (actually 1st person from an A- for both science courses) and hopefully this semester I'll have atleast a 3.8
ACT 31 superscored is a 33 and my high school gpa was a 3.6
i do have plenty of extracurriculars, especially in music and community service/leadership

I just wanted to know how the transfer students do typically,
I dont smoke or drink and am premed so I dont really party alot but I still am very social

Should I apply? and Do you think I'll get in

hi. i’m a frequent poster to the board. i’m a transfer student who transferred from a CUNY to steinhardt.

a 3.8 is a great gpa. i don’t chance people.

transfer do really well here, and one of my friends is a transfer and also pre-med, and she’s doing great here.

transfer students often have a hard time carving out their own place in NYU, since NYU has such a diverse student body. but since it is SO diverse, you will find people with similar interests. i don’t drink that much either, but i still have friends here.

one of the things i struggled with is that my other school was ridiculously easy, and i had to actually -study- for my classes here at NYU, heh.

out of curiosity, where are you transferring from? public university? private?

Loyola University Chicago… the science classes are pretty hard because they are just trying to weed out 90% of the class by junior year
