<p>I am an accepted transfer student. I don't want to live in the dorms. How do I go about achieving this? How do I find roommates and an apartment? I don't know anyone at UT Austin and its really freaking me out. I want to find a good place to live and good roommates, but anyone have any suggestions?</p>

<p>There are a lot of places off campus that are really close to the university, but they include lots of UT kids. Dobie and the Castillian are the names, I think. And I think there are roommate surveys for them as well.</p>
