I took the CHSPE (which is the equivalent of a HS Diploma) and graduated mid-year of my junior year. I'm 16 and this summer is my first summer at my CCC. I plan to do a Physiological Sciences major at UCLA or UCD. UCLA is preferred though :P
So here are my questions lol:

Will my age affect my transfer decision?
I attended ONE algebra 1 class during HS (spring 08) but I got a W in it. Is this bad?
Will the CHSPE affect my transfer decision?

ANY info would be helpful! Thanks a lot!

Will my age affect my transfer decision?- No, it might help it.

I attended ONE algebra 1 class during HS (spring 08) but I got a W in it. Is this bad?- No doesn’t matter

Will the CHSPE affect my transfer decision?- no

no it will be an advantage
but keep an excellent GPA !

thanks! I’ll try.
anything above a 3.7 is good for UCLA right?

Physiological Sciences, you definitely have to take Physio Psych, one of the most fascinating classes I’ve ever taken! 3.7 is quite good for UCLA, TAP if you can that’ll pretty much cement you in.

What exactly is TAP? I’ve heard of TAG but not TAP lol.

TAP is basically the TAG for UCLA, it’s a series of honors programs that if you pass, you graduate/transfer with honors and something like 90% of the people who TAP end up getting in.

No, I took the CHSPE. I will start this fall as a senior at 16 years old (105 CCC units + 16 APs + 17 units this summer at ucla = 138. 135+ is considered senior) and will graduate at 17 years old with my Bachelors.

Itachirumon: Oh really? That sounds so cool. I’ll check with my counselor about that. Is the program hard? Do all CCCs have TAP? I go to DVC. So I hope it has one.
rpicton: Wow. Good job! :)
