Transfer interviews

I'm going to be visiting the school soon, and I was hoping to have an interview while there. I know prospective freshmen students are encouraged to have one, but does Wash U do interviews for transfer students?

My son didn’t have a transfer interview but he had a transfer advisor with whom he kept in constant contact.

I’m a transfer, as are the majority of my friends at WashU, and neither I nor any of them ever interviewed at WashU at any point in the transfer application process. Now, in fairness, none of us visited until getting in either, so in your case, it may make sense. But generally speaking, it would seem from my anecdotal experience that they are not an expectation for transfers.

david: just curious; why are you transferring from lehigh?

'cause WashU is so awesome!

sorry just had to say it…

I went in to Lehigh undecided and then figured out that I wanted to be an English major. Lehigh’s not a bad place, but it just doesn’t have that liberal arts kind of atmosphere, y’know?

I also filled out the visit scheduling form and it let me request an interview. Hopefully I’ll get it.

good luck then; Wash U is a great place!!
