Transfer Letter

i posted this in the college admissions section but nobody replies there so im posting it here. I got a letter regarding my application to michigan state university here some of the main points, not exact wording

" we have received all your information, we appreciate your interest. a review of your application indicates a decision regarding your status will be determined at the end of this term upon receipt of an official transcript containing your final grades. It is our hope that your overall academic record at the completion of the term will enable us to offer you admission to MSU."

i was wondering if anyone had an idea of what this probably means. does it mean that if my grades are good this term they will accept me????? wouldn't they have just said no if they weren't going to accept me?? please reply!!! thank you

Although I obviously can't say anything on the record, it sounds like, if your grades stay up or improve, they are likely to accept you. If they were going to reject you, I would think they would have done so by now.

You have basically been "deferred." A few of my friends were deferred until their 7th semester grades could be reviewed. Most likely you will be accepted, as they both were, but MSU does this if they believe you are a borderline applicant.

well i hope so, because this semester im probably going to pull straight A's
