got a letter regarding my application to michigan state university here some of the main points, not exact wording

" we have received all your information, we appreciate your interest. a review of your application indicates a decision regarding your status will be determined at the end of this term upon receipt of an official transcript containing your final grades. It is our hope that your overall academic record at the completion of the term will enable us to offer you admission to MSU."

i was wondering if anyone had an idea of what this probably means. does it mean that if my grades are good this term they will accept me????? wouldn't they have just said no if they weren't going to accept me?? please reply!!! thank you

My guess is your instincts are correct, that they will do what the letter indicates: wait until your final grades before deciding, and that you're good enough so that they are not dismissing your app out of hand... To put your mind at ease, you may want to call or email Admissions tomorrow (Monday)... May I ask, where are you transferring from?

im transferring from a 4 year university in michigan. Ferris State. And i did call admissions. The lady there said that they would have rejected me in this letter if they didnt want me. And there is a high chance i am going to pull straight A's this semester
