I'm a transfer student from a California Community College and completed all my math requirements to transfer. At UCSD it would be math 20a/20b + Elementary Statistics. Degree audit says I need one more math class. How is that possible? Bio majors don't have to take Calc III so I'm just wondering if this could be fixed by visiting a counselor. Because assist.org says that math 10a/10b + stats would be okay. But math 20a/20b need 20c to be completed. It doesn't make sense because the 20 series is more intense than the 10 series and unnecessary for bio majors!

i would petition to the bio dept for using the 20a/b credit in place of 10a/b. if they insist that you take another math class then at the very least ask them to let you take 10c instead of 20c.

Molecular Bio major needs 20a, 20b, 20c in UCSD. Other bio majors need 10a, 10b, 10c.

Both C classes talk about multi variable. I think Statistics is much lower than 20c, so you need to complete 20c.
