TRANSFER: Midd to Dartmouth

HELP!
i want to transfer from Middlebury to Dartmouth but I dont think I will get in.

I got into Dartmouth the first tiem around and realized I made a mistake by picking Midd.
But... my grades here have not been very good... 3.3 GPA.
I just had a lot of trouble adjusting.. but now I feel adjusted and want to transfer!
I could take the SATs again and improve them (I got in last time with 1200)
I also have a coach to help.
SO... does anyone have any idea what my chances would be? Does getting in once help because now I really see no hope with a 3.3 GPA
(in high school I had a high GPA ... but let me tell you... high school is a LOOOOOOOT easier than Middlebury.)
thanks guys

oh yea... plus ive got no one to write my recommendations... and my deans wont be very good because ive gone to her so many times crying saying i cant handle the workload... but now i htink i can! i swear!
aaah

why transfer out of Middlebury? I'm thinking of trying to transfer in, and the percentage is something like 5%. I'd stay where you are and tough it out. It's a great school.

Hrmm if you rejected Dartmouth in the first place, why would they accept you again? Sorry if I sound cynical, I just don't think it'll happen...

I would definitely apply. If you got in the first time i would say you have a good chance of getting in again. The key is explaining your reasons for transfer. 3.3 (B+)isnt bad at all especially at midd. I am applying for transfer between 2 competitive schools right now so i am in a similar position to you. anyway if you have any questions or want to discuss the matter further just send me a message : stosti@jhu.edu
