Transfer Options for Pre-Medicine

Hey,

Let's see if I can break this down well. I originally was Pre-Law at a 4-yr private university for the Fall 2010 semester. I quickly decided this was not the path for me. I decided to transfer to my local community college to take some GenEds and better prepare for a Pre-Medicine program. I want to apply for admissions for the Fall 2011. However, I am unsure of whether this will hinder or help my chances of getting into a program and beginning my path into the Medicine field. You see, many of colleges I am applying to require recommendations from current institution professors. Since I just transferred to my community college, and the first apps are due on March 15th; I am unsure whether the recommendations I give will be solid enough. The professors will have only known few weeks prior to writing one for me. However, I also fear that waiting to apply for the Spring 2012 semester may hurt me, because transferring into a Pre-Medicine program seems near impossible further into a college career.

Any insight is welcomed and would be helpful?

Get LORs from your fr year school:

The schools want them from the college I am currently attending, not the one previously attended.

That’s unique, I’ve never heard of that before, must not be Common App schools.
