Transfer Orientation

Did anyone opt to not attend transfer orientation? Did you receive information on how to register for classes? I recently had to cancel my orientation and now am kind of lost on how I’m supposed to register.

Go to sisweb.ucdavis.edu

Click on “login to student information system on the web”

Click on “Student Services and Financial Aid”

Click on “Registration”

Click on “Check Appointment Times”, then select Fall Quarter 2012. You will see your registration date and times for Pass 1 and Pass 2 (Pass 2 is for those who missed their Pass 1 registration date, as well as those wanting to get into a class that was restricted to majors during Pass 1)

On the date and time of when you can register, go back to the Registration Menu and select “Register for Classes”.

Type in the CRNs for the courses you want to register for (if you don’t know the CRN for the courses you want, go here[/url”>https://registrar4.ucdavis.edu/courses/search/index.cfm]here, type in the course name, click search, and in the results, the CRN is on the far left side of the table, right above the time and days listed)

Click submit

I just went to transfer orientation yesterday. The transfer counselors and major advisors were very helpful in getting us registered. Follow the steps in the post above to register when your registration times comes. In the meantime go to MY UCDavis and near the top of the right side it says “search for classes”. Go there and put in your area of interest and hit search at the bottom. I have all my classes picked out a month ago and thankfully yesterday they were still open so it was very easy for me.

As far as advice on what to take, you may ask questions here and get some guidance. Or email admissions and ask them where to email for specific major/class questions. I know they must have some way to help those ho cannot attend orientation.
