Is it possible to transfer to a top 100 college from an average public university with good aid, if I raise my SAT score and maintain a good GPA?
Thanks

There’s always a chance.
But from what I know, being an international student puts you at a distinct disadvantage in this matter. Most colleges don’t provide scholarships to transfer students (need-based or otherwise) because they are more concerned with enticing new freshmen with better aid.

So obviously it is going to be difficult for you to enter a top university with aid. You would have to do something extraordinary to get into another college. But there are some colleges that welcome good students on transfer, maybe on the lower end of the Top 100. Hope it helps!!

If my knowledge to this date is any indication of reality of transfer application of international student ,to transfer is not “very” hard, but to transfer with huge aid is “almost” a herculean task.

However,

if you research colleges, contact admission/financial aid office, spend excellent one/two years in your present college and show you deserve better, you will never know!
