I am a freshman at a liberal arts college in NJ. My first semester's G.P.A is 3.78. I'm looking for a college to transfer for the fall sem of 2010 that can offer a scholarship that covers almost or all of my tuition fees. Any college suggestions will do, although I'd prefer transfering to a college/ university in the WashingtonD.C / VA area.

My first semester's G.P.A is 3.78, I have a score of 780 in SAT math and 560 in SAT verbal. Please help me!!!

Bad news…

Sorry, but there aren’t such scholarships for transfer students.

The best scholarships are for incoming freshmen only because it helps the school with its ranking (which is affected by the stats of an incoming freshmen class).

Do you have a scholarship at your present school?

Merit aid for transfers is very difficult to come by, most is for entering freshmen. And of the ones available for transfers, many are for Phi Theta Kappa (CC honor society) or for other very specific demographics. I did run across a scholarship at American U, but it’s nowhere close to full tuition and is only for 2 years:
