Would you guys mind chancing me and doling out advice on what worked for you on being accepted?
High school weighted GPA: 3.3
SAT score: 1830/2400
ACT score: 28/36
I was on my high school newspaper for a couple of years, was vice president of a language class, worked for a year and a summer, and volunteered. I also took a lot of AP/honors classes, in retrospect, I definitely should have eased back and went with more honors/CP courses in order to boost my GPA. Only tangentially related, but I thought my common app and supplement essays were very good and I also interviewed.
I’m attending a regional campus for a state school in the fall and wondering what I should do to ensure getting in this time around. I’m taking micro economics, freshman English, a class on domestic abuse, and intro to international relations. Other than maintaining a very high GPA, is there anything else Smith really likes to see? Because I have to somehow make up for my poor scores in high school.
Thank you!
