so i have been accepted and have been trying to get ahold of my advisor. i know that a few classes i need are already full. will he definitely be able to push me into some of them and can i only speak to him at orientation. i wanted to see him early to see what exactly i should plan to take before i actually register. any advice?

Your advisor has the power to add you into a class that you need, if not, go to the class you want to take on the first day and talk with your professor and see if he will add you into the roster.

Something you should know about UT, the advisors here are pathetic and completely useless. The best piece of advice I Can give you is to talk to lots of students who are already at UT and get advice from them.

Good Luck :)

When I was a transfer student trying to sign up for the Fall '09 classes, my advisor told me that some spots should open up during the registration period. This was true for most of my classes, however one of my classes didn’t open and I was told to take it the next semester.
