I decided to look at the class schedule online and I'm noticing that most, if not all, the classes I will need to take next year are already wait listed... :(
Have past transfers had trouble getting the classes they need?
Do they secure some spots for transfers at each orientation?
How does this work?

Any information would be most appreciated. Thanks.

They open sections in installments. Still, you will want to attend the earliest orientation possible to give yourself the best chances of getting the classes and sections you want.

depends on the class. If the class is in your major, then the class has a “hold” on it for their majors only. If the class is not in your major, you may be waitlisted.

Don’t worry!!! I signed up for classes one week before classes started (because that’s when I was accepted) and was able to get all my classes. Granted, it wasn’t a preferable schedule (gaps) but it was still manageable.

Good luck & keep checkin to see if classes open up every chance you can edit your schedule and don’t be hesitant to sign up to get wait-listed.

Oh totally don’t worry at all! I was accepted as a transfer this past semester and I signed up for classes the week before classes started. I didn’t get my ideal times, but people are constantly dropping and adding different classes even during the first week of class. I was waitlisted as 45th on this one class I really wanted and I actually got into it on the second day of class.
