Hello all, I just have a few questions as a new Rutgers New Brunswick student. 1). What dorm is best for transfers? I have to list my preference. I want to be near my classes (I will most likely be taking a lot core requirement courses). Transfer are allowed to also preference their room type. I am technically a freshman because this is my first year of college (the first half was spent in another school). I know most freshman already have dorm mates because their contract isn't up yet, so should I list double or suite occupancy? 2). What classes do you recommend taking? I have courses from my previous school, but they have yet to evaluate them. This a weird time to transfer but it was necessary because of my circumstances. I just want to be happy at Rutgers. Any other tips would be great. Thanks.

Also ^ does anyone know how Spring transfer housing contracts work? Do I still have to do a nine month period or not? What are the prices? The housing options online don’t really discuss Spring Transfer situations.

You would only get housing for the spring semester. The lottery process for next year’s housing starts in January.

I would probably pick a suite over a dorm, if that’s an option.

You classes question is a little vague.

Thanks, do you recommend any dorms for new transfers?

I mean campus

I transferred for the Spring 2014, and i would recommend the suites on busch or the dorms on college ave.

Thanks, I was definitely considering college ave. I know its highly requested, but I’ll still list it first. Where did you dorm ?

I would probably choose the campus where most of my classes would be as my first choice.

I agree that suites on Busch or dorms on College Ave are good choices if you want those campuses.
