I called UCLA today and ask them about impacted majors...they say that you need at least a 3.7 to be consider? is this true? anyone got admitted into an impacted major at UCLA this fall that have a GPA lower than 3.7? i'm a californian..thanks

forgive my ignorance, but what is an impacted major?

basically, impacted majors are majors that many people want to get in (e.g. life science & business)...those majors are very competitive, which means that your chance of gettin into that certain UC is lowered...it really sux!!
