Transfer student from NY attending UCF and having trouble making friends. Should I transfer?

I graduated with AS Business Administration from Rockland Community College in August, and transferred to UCF a few weeks later.
Unfortunately, all my classes are online, none with a video lecture, so I can’t meet people in class. There aren’t frequent in-person events relevant to my interests and many clubs require me to pay dues, so I need to limit how many I join.
Fast forward to November 1, and I haven’t left my off campus apartment all day, I’m very upset, and I’m thinking about leaving since I don’t see all COVID-19 regulations being lifted by even next fall.
I enjoy Orlando and FL, that’s not the issue, but having few opportunities to interact in-person renders this experience pointless. I’m considering transferring my credits to a SUNY school and waiting for COVID to end. I can deal with the winters and move to FL in 2022.
Or, should I stay at UCF even though my experience has been extremely lackluster thus far?

Would it be cheaper to attend a SUNY? How many of your credits would transfer? Would you major be guaranteed?

How do your classes look for Spring?

All of my daughter’s Spring in-person classes switched to online at the last minute yesterday. If that holds, she will complete her entire Freshman year without ever setting foot in a classroom.

Are yours also going to be online?

Not sure what the point is to “go away” to school to sit in a dorm or apartment!

We are re-considering UCF.

Are you able to start online chat/study groups with students from your online classes? My D is PSEO student at UMN this year and I’m not sure how it works but she seems to be social online through those groups. Both she and her brother who is online at another college also participate in online clubs that are associated with their intended majors. It seems that you may be able to meet other students and potentially meet up socially on campus while keeping appropriately distant due to covid.
