Transfer student: Is my SAT okay for penn or Columbia?

Hi,

I’m currently a college freshman who wants to transfer to University of Pennsylvania’s College of Arts and Science or Columbia College (sophmore transfer). I didn’t retake my SATs in college, but my high school senior year (New) SAT score was a 1,450/1,600 (770 M, 680 E/W). BTW I never took subject tests in high school, so I guess I’m already at a disadvantage in terms of standardized testing.
Any perspectives would be greatly appreciated!

Penn will look at your high school GPA too.

You started planning to transfer in June per your posting history, before you even started at your current college. Penn will be a high reach.

@TomSrOfBoston Yes, I’m aware of that. I am solely asking if my test score would filter me out as an applicant to Columbia. What do you think?

Columbia or Penn? 1450 is low for both and you have no SAT II’s. They will likely see your quest for prestige which will hurt your chances.

questionable, I’d probably say doubtful, because it is incredibly difficult for ANYONE to transfer to any of the ivies.
