Transfer student junior

Ok so I am about to complete my 3 year of college at a unranked university commuter college. I have the option of transferring out to American University in DC. They will accept 75 of my credits, and I will have to complete 45 credits their to graduate. I have 90 credits. I am majoring in political science and have a 3.3 gpa. Is it worth it to transfer to American? Will high ranking grad schools look down at the transfer? How will law school look at the transfer, will it be seen as a bad thing? Also to add to this a main reason I want to transfer is because of the social aspects of living in DC, so if you can tie that into this that would be great. I also want to attend an IVY League grad program so Is American well respected by the Ivy LEAGUE?

Just the fact that they are accepting 75 units sounds enticing to me. It was my understanding that a person cannot transfer with more than 70.

As for the transfer, I don’t think its terrible. Academics are more important than anything else.

Sounds like a nice opportunity…I would go for it.
